Version 1.4 — March 1, 2026
Important: The following is general information and not legal or medical advice. Laws, professional standards, and facility policies vary by jurisdiction and employer. These Materials (defined below) have not been reviewed or approved by any state Board of Nursing, regulatory agency, or healthcare accreditation body. These Materials are not FDA-approved medical device software and are not intended for clinical decision support.
This website is owned and operated by Lisa A. Niedermeyer.
As used herein: “Materials” means all Sage Nurse Tools products, including but not limited to the Telemetry Nurse Brain and Medical Nurse Brain reference guides, all accompanying worksheets, report sheet templates, abbreviation references, clinical guides, and any related content provided by Lisa A. Niedermeyer, collectively and individually. “User” means any individual who accesses, views, downloads, prints, or otherwise uses the Materials. “Lisa A. Niedermeyer” means Lisa A. Niedermeyer, an individual doing business in the State of Nevada, together with her agents, contractors, and affiliates.
Lisa A. Niedermeyer grants User a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Materials for single-user, personal, non-commercial use only, subject to these Terms. These Materials are educational and organizational aids intended solely for licensed healthcare professionals who are independently competent in their applicable area of nursing practice. Nursing students enrolled in an accredited nursing program may also use the Materials, provided they do so under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional (e.g., a clinical instructor, preceptor, or supervising nurse). The supervising professional assumes full responsibility for the student's use of the Materials in any clinical setting. Student use does not expand the scope, warranties, or representations of these Terms. Users may not copy, share, distribute, sell, sublicense, or make derivative works of the Materials. Institutional use, reproduction, or redistribution requires a separate written licensing agreement from Lisa A. Niedermeyer.
The Materials do not replace:
Users are solely responsible for:
The Materials are not a substitute for critical thinking, independent clinical judgment, or professional education.
All dosages, rates, weights, and measurements contained in the Materials are approximate and may vary based on individual patient needs and circumstances. Users must independently verify all numerical values before clinical application.
Lisa A. Niedermeyer is not responsible for typographical errors or omissions in the Materials. While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy, Users should not rely on the Materials as error-free.
For any questions or clarifications regarding clinical information, Users should consult their charge nurse, manager, director, house supervisor, facility management, or other healthcare provider in accordance with their scope of practice.
The Materials contain sample patient data, clinical scenarios, and illustrative examples that are entirely fictitious. These examples are fabricated solely to demonstrate how to use the organizational tools and worksheets contained in the Materials.
All patient names, clinical values, medications, cardiac rhythms, diagnoses, laboratory results, and other data presented as examples in the Materials are invented and do not represent any actual patient, medical record, or clinical event. Any resemblance to real patients, living or deceased, is purely coincidental.
Users must not interpret illustrative examples as clinical guidance, treatment protocols, standing orders, or evidence-based practice recommendations for any specific patient situation. All clinical decisions must be based on the individual patient's actual condition, current provider orders, and applicable standards of care — not on examples contained in the Materials.
The Materials provide general reference information (including common abbreviations, examples, and organizational frameworks) but do not constitute a protocol, standing order, clinical guideline, or medical advice for any specific patient or clinical situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lisa A. Niedermeyer expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
All Materials are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind.
Clinical decisions must be based on the totality of each patient's condition, current provider directives, and institutional standards — not on these Materials. Users must independently verify all medication dosages, laboratory values, clinical parameters, and other information before taking any clinical action. Lisa A. Niedermeyer is not responsible for clinical outcomes resulting from use, misuse, or reliance on these Materials.
Medical abbreviations, terminology, and clinical practices differ significantly by institution, region, specialty, and over time. Users must confirm:
If any content in the Materials conflicts with facility standards, provider orders, or current evidence-based practice, Users must follow facility standards, provider orders, and current evidence-based practice.
The Materials may contain information that is outdated, incomplete, or inapplicable to the User's specific clinical setting. Information is based on general nursing practices in the applicable specialty as of March 1, 2026 and may not reflect recent changes in standards of care, pharmacology, or clinical guidelines.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Lisa A. Niedermeyer be liable for any: direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages; patient injury or death; loss of professional license or certification; malpractice claims, professional discipline, or regulatory action; lost profits, lost data, or business interruption; or any other damages of any kind — arising from or related to the Materials, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), even if Lisa A. Niedermeyer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall Lisa A. Niedermeyer's total aggregate liability exceed the greater of: (a) the amount actually paid by User for the Materials, or (b) fifty dollars ($50.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the liability of Lisa A. Niedermeyer shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
By using the Materials, User agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lisa A. Niedermeyer from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and expert witness fees) arising out of or related to: (1) User's use, misuse, or reliance on the Materials; (2) User's failure to follow applicable standards of care, facility policies, or provider orders; (3) User's negligent, reckless, or intentional conduct; (4) User's violation of any law, regulation, or professional standard; and (5) any claim by a patient, employer, regulatory body, or third party related to User's clinical practice.
This indemnification obligation survives termination of use and these Terms.
Lisa A. Niedermeyer may terminate or suspend User's license to use the Materials at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including but not limited to any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, User must immediately cease all use of the Materials and destroy all copies in User's possession or control.
The following provisions survive termination: Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution, Governing Law and Venue, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination.
User agrees that any claim, action, or proceeding brought by User against Lisa A. Niedermeyer arising out of or related to the Materials or these Terms must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim accrues, regardless of any longer statutory limitations period. Failure to bring a claim within this period constitutes a complete bar and waiver of such claim.
This limitation does not apply to claims brought by Lisa A. Niedermeyer for infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights, which shall be governed by the applicable statutory limitations period.
The Materials include free-form worksheets intended for temporary, shift-based use. Lisa A. Niedermeyer does not collect, access, store, transmit, or process any patient information or protected health information (PHI). Lisa A. Niedermeyer is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Materials, these Terms, or their breach, interpretation, or validity is referred to collectively as “Disputes.”
Any Dispute in which the amount in controversy is within the jurisdictional limits of the small claims division of the Carson City Justice Court, Carson City, Nevada, may be brought by either party in that court. This is the preferred forum for resolving Disputes arising from individual consumer purchases of the Materials.
For any Dispute that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of small claims court, either party may elect to resolve the Dispute by binding arbitration. Arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the Nevada Uniform Arbitration Act (NRS Chapter 38), as modified by these Terms. The Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. Sections 1–16, shall govern the interpretation, enforcement, and validity of this arbitration agreement.
Arbitration shall be held in Carson City, Nevada, before a single neutral arbitrator. If the parties cannot agree on an arbitrator within thirty (30) days of the arbitration demand, the First Judicial District Court of Nevada shall appoint the arbitrator pursuant to NRS 38.231.
The arbitrator's decision and award shall be final and binding. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section shall prevent Lisa A. Niedermeyer from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief, or from pursuing any claim for infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights (including copyright, trademark, and trade secret claims), in any court of competent jurisdiction, including federal court. Lisa A. Niedermeyer may pursue all remedies available under applicable law for such claims, including statutory damages, actual damages, attorneys' fees, and costs.
For Disputes resolved in small claims court, costs shall be governed by the rules of that court. For Disputes resolved by arbitration, each party shall bear its own attorneys' fees and costs, unless the arbitrator finds that a party acted in bad faith, in which case the arbitrator may award reasonable attorneys' fees and costs to the prevailing party. This provision does not apply to intellectual property enforcement actions, for which attorneys' fees and costs shall be governed by applicable federal and state law.
All Disputes must be brought in User's individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. User waives any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative action, and waives any right to consolidated proceedings with other Users.
This dispute resolution provision survives termination of use and these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, such finding shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the parties' original intent.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflicts of law principles. User consents to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Carson City, Nevada, including the Carson City Justice Court (small claims division) and the First Judicial District Court of Nevada, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
